Stacey Heays

Director / Solicitor


Stacey completed her law degree at Waikato University in 2007 and spent the following 12 years working in the Waikato area. Stacey works in the areas of Property, Wills, EPA's, Trusts, and Estates . She enjoys working with clients on asset protection, estate planning, and property transactions. Stacey's practical and results-focused work helps clients to achieve their goals as efficiently as possible. Growing up at Waihi Beach and attending Waihi College, Stacey moved home to live in 2019 and is enjoying the lifestyle the bay area offers. Away from the office she enjoys spending time with family and friends, at the beach, or travelling.

John Boyes

Registered Legal Executive


John was born and raised in Tauranga. After completing an agricultural degree at Massey University he worked in the rural banking industry for 18 years.

John joined Kaimai Law Katikati in 2010 and has 12 years experience as a legal executive.

John's main area of work includes residential, lifestyle and orchard property transactions. He is also involved with finance, retirement village occupation agreements, subdivisions, Powers of Attorney and Wills.

John sets high standards with his work, takes a practical approach and aims to get his client's transactions completed in an efficient manner.

Away from work he enjoys working on his lifestyle property, fishing and spending time with family.

Leanne Watson

Registered Legal Executive


Leanne was raised in the Waikato. Following completion of her schooling Leanne attended Waikato Polytechnic and thereafter was employed as a legal secretary in Taupo.

Following two years in the UK Leanne returned to NZ and was employed by the law firm of Stace Hammond Grace in Hamilton. In 1998 Leanne and her family moved to Bowentown. In 2002 Leanne joined Kit at Waterford Law in Katikati which firm later merged with Kaimai Law Katikati. In 2010 Leanne obtained her Diploma in Legal Executive studies.

Leanne's principal work is as a legal executive managing property and commercial transactions. Outside of the office Leanne is a keen walker and enjoys fishing.

Sandy Houston

Receptionist/PA


Sandy has been with the firm for quite some time now, having started when it was originally Edmonds Marshall Burcher before it morphed through its various changes to what is now Kaimai Law Katikati. Being on our front desk, Sandy will usually be the first person you meet when calling into the office and her years of experience as a Legal Secretary and Personal Assistant has covered just about everything.

The Pahoia/Apata area is where Sandy and her long time partner Warwick live where they have a lifestyle block and operate a sole operator rural contracting business. Having come from a farming background rural activities are familiar to her as well.

Sandy is in the office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.

Pauline Oellermann

Practice Manager


Pauline is responsible for the general day to day running of the office and client Trust Account.

Pauline has 20 years of experience working in legal accounts, including nominee investment areas, along with work in other professional industries.

Originally from The Mount, Pauline and her husband moved out to Katikati a few years ago to enjoy the wonderful country lifestyle.

Sue Adams

Estate Administrator


Sue began her professional life in Wellington working for Scott Hardie Boyes Morrison & Co. She also worked in Australia in various law firms in an administrative and legal secretarial capacity. On returning to New Zealand in 1997 Sue was employed at Waterford Law in Katikati which in time merged with Kaimai Law Katikati.

Sue's primary role is estate administration.

Outside the office Sue's primary love is her doggie Bille and she participates in line dancing and croquet.

Stacey Keightley

Legal Assistant


Stacey was born and raised in Waihi and after completing her secondary education, moved to Melbourne in 1996, where she studied Cert IV in Forensic Science, Diploma of Justice (Social Science) and finally, her Diploma of Financial Services (Conveyancing).  Stacey worked for 12 years as a Conveyancer in Melbourne and then moved back to New Zealand in late 2016, where she has enjoyed continuing to work in the legal sector.  Stacey’s penchant for details means she loves working on Trusts and Conveyancing. 

In her spare time, Stacey enjoys drawing and painting and spending quality time with her family.
